So, I teach habit stacking and mindset shifts - but I also invite both men and women to rewrite the story: “I’m allowed to fuel myself first.”

Eat to sustain, not just survive. That means building meals that support energy, focus, and hormonal balance, not just grabbing whatever’s convenient.
A simple rule I share: every plate needs protein, healthy fats, and complex carbs.
It’s not about perfection - it’s about creating meals that work for you, not against you. When you shift from reactive eating to intentional fueling, everything changes.
4. Top 5 Daily Rituals for 40+
“What are your top five daily rituals that truly make a difference to mood, energy, and sanity?”
Protein within 90 minutes of waking - 30–35g stabilises blood sugar and supports hormones.
Morning movement – resistance training, a 20 minute high intensity cardio session or even 10 minutes of walking or stretching lifts mood and metabolism.
Hormonal changes, recovery from injury, or even long periods of sitting - can disrupt fluid balance and contribute to bloating or fatigue. Adding electrolytes to your hydration routine helps the body regulate fluid levels more effectively, supporting steady energy and temperature control during these shifts.
Mindful pause before meals - three deep breaths before eating can minimise overeating, improve digestion and absorption.
Magnesium-rich wind-down routine - dim lights, disconnect, and enjoy a calming snack or supplement before bed.
These aren’t rules - they’re anchors. Gentle, repeatable rituals that help you feel fuelled, not frantic. Especially when life is full, and your body is changing.
